ORONOCO: MN- Kirk Robert Knop, 61, of Oronoco, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at St. Marys Hospital.
Kirk was born February 24, 1951 in Rochester to Robert and Ruth (Meyer) Knop. Kirk lived within the Hiawatha Homes Community for 21 years and spent the past 12 years with Hiawatha Homes in Oronoco. From 1991 until 2010, Kirk attended the Rochester PossAbilities Program but really enjoyed his last 2 years of retirement. He loved going out to eat, enjoyed listening to music, listening to stock car races and having someone read to him.
Kirk is survived by his stepsister, Alice Morton of Seaside, OR; several cousins and many friends and acquaintances within the Rochester and Oronoco areas.
A time of reflection will be led by Rev. Dr. James Heining at 12:45pm Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until time of the reflection.
