Dearest Hollee, Derrick and Ryan,

What a wonderful husband and father you had in your lives. As happy as I am that your beloved Kevin is now in Heaven, my heart cries for all three of you.

I love you and am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I Thessalonians 4: tells us to comfort and encourage each other with the news that we will all meet again. You have all been a comfort and encouragement to Kevin.

Having a loved family member pass away days before Christmas creates conflicting emotions: a great sense of sadness and loss when most others are celebrating the joy of the season and the HOPE that is Christmas. As I sat in church last night, though, I heard a stronger message of the hope for the future...one that seeks out peace in the world -peace that starts in each of our families. So, my Christmas Wish for all of us is one that is precious, sacred and healing. HOPE that as children of God we can welcome and love one another as our faith calls us to do. Kevin-our brother, son, husband, dad and friend has joined our heavenly Father and we will miss him dearly. May the rest of us celebrate his life in the Grace of God.

Dearest Hollee and the boys,

Ernest and I would like to express our sorrow over Kevin's passing. It was a long, hard battle, bravely fought, and bravely supported by the troops at his side. In the arms of God, he can savor his side of the victory, but it's much harder for the troops left behind.

Ernest has told me so much about Kevin and his hunting and baseball playing and the great times they had together. And then I followed from the start the story on the Care pages. I felt like I knew him. I lost my own dad to unexpected death when I was 17, so I know what the loss does in the younger years. Fortunately, Kevin shared so much with his boys that they will probably feel that they still have a good part of him with them.

Our thoughts also go out to the rest of the family and friends who are missing him. May God bless you all.

Verna, John and family,

We wanted to send a card, to express our sympathy for your loss, but were unable to find your address.
Our memories of Kevin are of his younger years as a kid in the neighborhood.

We are sorry we will be unable to attend the services as we will be on our way to Arizona, but you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Johnson families~
I write this in deep sympathy for you all. Kevin was a very brave man fighting this battle with cancer for so long. I know he will be missed by all exspecially his boys, Derrik and Ryan.
My memories of Kevin are dear to me. He has always been very loving and kind to everyone he met.
My Mom & Dad were Kevin's Godparents, standing up in church with him as he was baptized as an infant. I know that they were both at heavens door welcoming Kevin with open arms.
May God bless all of you and give you strength to endure the days ahead. I love you all and wish I could be there to give you hugs...

Hollee, I wish to extend my condolences. Although you do not know me, my son, Richard "Rick" Mosley was in Kevin's 1987 graduating class at Byron High School. Rick passed away on July 18, 2011 very unexpectantly from a heart attack. Rick's passing was sudden and it appears Kevin's was prolonged but the pain is great.

You and your family are remembered in my prayers. Perhaps you can mention this to Kevin's parents and they may recall knowing Rick.

God Bless You and Your Family.

I had the privilege of taking care of Kevin while he was in the hospital. He was a really fun man to talk to! My home football team, the Blue Earth Area Bucs, had just won the state championship, and he was so happy for me and for them. And also because they beat Lourdes. :) My time getting to know Kevin was very brief, but it was apparent how special he was, and what a great family he had. I pray that God will comfort your family during this time.
