The funeral service for Ann Rosalyn Johnson, 89, a longtime Stewartville, MN area resident, will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Mt Olive Lutheran Church in Rochester, MN. Bural will be at the Rushford Lutheran Cemetery.

Ann passed away peacefully on Thursday May 28, 2026, having spent a long Memorial Day weekend with her family.

Ann was born, December 16, 1936, in Rushford, Minnesota to Seth and Ella Louise Rislove. Ann married Gordon M. Johnson "Gordy" on July 3, 1954.

She loved spending time with family and friends in many activities including travel. She was an avid card player and engaged in multiple bridge clubs. Over the years she sang in church choir and IBM singers. She participated in many other social activities including serving on The Gramercy Board. Ann was a prolific seamstress and quilter. Her sewing projects include children's and women's clothing, several wedding dresses, and hundreds of quilts. The past 10 years she continued sewing and donating quilts to charity. She learned to swim in later years and swam laps at the Rochester Rec Center pool. She was an extraordinary and prolific baker and cook. She showered her family and friends with her breads, cookies, and Norwegian foods. She was well known for her seasonal Lefse production (~100 lbs!) while also instructing her children, friends, and fellow lefse enthusiasts in the art of delicate and tasty Lefse making.

Ann and Gordy raised five children in Stewartville, MN. Larry Johnson, Lynn (Roxette) Johnson, Lou (Kent) Wolf, Lonnie (Kimberly) Johnson, and Loren (Kaylene) Johnson. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren; "Danielle, Brittini, Corree"; "William, Alexander, Olivia"; "Joshua, Kaylee, Luke"; "Brandon, Brittney"; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; Gordy, her son; Larry, her parents Seth and Ella Louise Rislove, and her seven siblings. Ann moved to Gramercy in Rochester, MN in 2002. Her most recent move was to the Samaritan-Bethany Independent Living in 2024.

The family would like to extend our heartfelt and sincere gratitude to the exceptional people in Samaritan Bethany and Mayo Clinic Hospice that lovingly cared for her.

A time of visitation will take place from 10 am to 11 am on Monday June 15th at Mt Olive Lutheran Church in Rochester (2830 18th Ave NW) immediately preceding the 11 am celebration of life service. Light lunch will be served after the service, followed by interment at Rushford Lutheran Cemetery.
