Born July 14th, 1961
Deceased September 1st, 2025
Anne attended Maria Goretti Primary school in Thika, Mombasa Primary school, Highlands High school, New Era, Kenyatta University where she obtained BA in Education, she was a tutor at Kericho teachers training college, she attended University of Illinois where she obtained Master is Education and Masters in Landscape and Architectural design, she briefly worked at the Mayo clinic as a Systems Analyst then went back to the University of Illinois to obtain a Master's in Business Administration.
Anne was a mitochondria and the powerhouse of the household of Joshua, the go-getter, the great encourager, the pride of the family, kids' lover, the kindest supplier of self-good. Full of grace, mercy and compassion; she selflessly gave away her love, time, talent, treasure and resources to help others achieve their goals.
Anne's passion for travel and desire to experience the beauty of God's creation alongside her family was seeded in her early childhood travels. Her parents traveled around East Africa and exposed her to an exceptional lifestyle. Her move to America 40 years ago was powered by the winds of Travel and desire to better herself and her Family. Family was her happy place; she was the life of all family gatherings and greatest contributor to the success of everything Family. Her gentle heart guided us through difficult situations; she was always the voice of reason that set the family straight. She took over the reins as a second mother and mirrored our Proverbs 31 mother who went before her. The destiny changer and "Joseph" of the Family lived a rich LEGACY that is worthy of emulation. She honored her parents and carried all their desires in her heart to successful completion.
As she rests in the arms of the Lord; she leaves behind her sisters, Rhoda Mghenyi, Rose Okuku Syeunda, Sally Ogessa, Martha Okuku, and brother David Okuku. Nieces, Ivy Avila, Mya Nagoli, and Nephews, Jeremy Mghenyi, Joe Mghenyi, Leon Joshua Oyaro and Sipho Ogessa. Great nieces River Avila and Olivia Mghenyi and Great Nephew Milo Mghenyi
She was preceded in death by her father Joshua Okuku and Mother Miriam Okuku.
