Anthony William Hall

Tony Hall, 40, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from injuries sustained in an ATV accident. He lived all forty of those years at full throttle, and anyone who knew him will tell you he wouldn't have given a single one back.

Tony was born July 1, 1986, and grew up on the family farm in Elgin, Minnesota, with a wrench in one hand and dirt on his boots. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, spent summers dynamite fishing with his grandpa and Uncle Johnny, and constantly took things apart purely to see if he could put them back together. Remarkably, he was also a meticulously clean boy-a habit that stuck. Tony went through life dressed to the nines, freshly pressed, and smelling incredible. He loved a good Harley ride, a fine bourbon, and showing up looking his absolute best.

Tony began working in security in 2004, eventually spending years as a respected armed detention officer with Spectrum Security Services in Arizona. In 2014, he returned to the Midwest, launching Tristate Towing & Recovery in Minnesota and then Wisconsin the following year. Tony worked tirelessly for everything he had, building a life he genuinely loved.

Alongside Britney Maki, his partner in life and adventure, Tony was turning their new house into a dream home using a track hoe, a Kubota, and the joy of a grown man who finally had the toys he'd wanted since childhood. He hunted, farmed, put endless miles on his side-by-side, and spoiled his beloved dogs, Tunk and Woo, beyond reason.

With an enormous heart and a talent for making people laugh, Tony was honest, encouraging, and quietly generous to those in need. He was wonderful with kids, who relied on his famous "Tony Talks," and he was always the first to make sure everyone was having a good time.

Tony is survived by the love of his life, Britney Maki; parents, Don and Lisa Hall; brother, Greg Hall; niece and goddaughter, Tamryn Hall; grandparents, William and Rita Weidendorf; in-laws, Scott and Diane Maki; sister-in-law, Michelle Nett; niece Hadley Nett and nephew Lincoln Nett; his dogs, Tunk and Woo; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Donald and Bernice Hall; uncles John, Dan, David, and Bob; cousins Matt and Sara; and his fur baby, LuLu.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 12, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at American Legion Post 551, 11 N Madison Ave, Eyota, MN 55934. Come celebrate Tony the way he would have wanted-with tacos, good company, loud laughs, and every story you've got (especially the ones that make his mother nervous).
