Barbara J. Dacloush, 70, of Dodge Center MN passed away December 22 from a sudden bout with cancer. Born to William and Marilyn (Newman) Woolever on December 22, 1955 in Glendive Montana. As an infant, the family moved to Kendall WI where she grew up on a dairy farm. She was confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Kendall. Once she got her drivers license she enjoyed driving the old stick shift station wagon. The neighborhood kids would all pile in and head to the ball game or swimming pool in the "red bomb". She also liked driving tractor and was more than willing to disc the fields. Barb graduated in 1974 from Royall High School, being one of the top in her class. She went to college at UWL LaCrosse, graduating with degrees in business administration, computer science, and economics. Out of college, she landed a job with the FDIC as a bank examiner and was there until retirement. Out of college, on a whim, she wrote the CPA exam and passed.
Barbara married Nick Dacloush May 30, 1981 and have been married for 44 years. Barb and Nick enjoyed going on several cruises all over the world. If the opportunity was there she would try it. From going up in a hot air balloon to a ride through the desert on a camel to going down the Nile river in a boat with an armed guard on board.
She loved flowers, cats, having rummage sales with her sister, and once a year weekend xmas shopping trip with her sister. But most of all family and friends meant the world to her. Barb and Nick traveled to Kendall and Chicago to see family every chance they got. Barb sent greeting cards for every holiday. The highlight of this past summer was her 50th class reunion where she got to see many of her class mates. Barb was a member of the Eastern Star and volunteered for several years. She was treasurer for them as well as the Masonic Temple Association. Last year she was the recipient of the EMERA award, given to members who are very active behind the scenes but are not president. Only 3 were given in the state last year.
