Barbara Vinz

Barbara J. Vinz, 89, of Rochester, MN, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Friday, November 3, 2023.

Barbara Jean (Parr) Vinz was born on July 31, 1934 in La Crosse, WI, to parents Gordon and Freida (Stoikes) Parr. After graduating high school, Barb married Myron G. Vinz on October 4, 1952, and the couple had three children, Steve, Mike and Lori. Barb spent time working at Waters Instruments as well as Dayton's.

Barb had many hobbies, including playing cards with her friends, but most importantly she loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. Family was everything to her.

Barb is survived by her children Steve (Cally) Vinz, Mike (Becky) Vinz, and Lori (Tom) Irvin; grandchildren, Shawn (Staci), Nicole (Jim), Katie (Andy), Jake, Jesse (Crystal) and Aaron (Heather); as well as 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Myron; a grandson, Jason Vinz; and her parents, Gordon and Freida.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes (5421 Royal Pl. NW Rochester, MN. 55901). Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.
