Brett Phillip Jarvis

Brett P. Jarvis 39, of Oronoco entered eternal life Wednesday October 12, 2022, at his home after a courageous five year battle with cancer. Brett Phillip Jarvis was born May 31, 1983, in Iowa City, IA to Gary and Muriel (Barnett) Jarvis. He grew up in Iowa City and attended Iowa State University, where he played football. After college he moved to Rochester to work for IBM, where he worked until July of this year as a Financial Analyst. Brett met Stacey shortly after his move and they married in 2012. Brett loved any sports, especially soccer and college football. He enjoyed coaching his children, yardwork, and most of all being with Stacey, the kids and family. He is survived by his wife Stacey, children Ian, Jack and Clara, his parents Gary and Muriel Jarvis, sister Amy (Henry Madrid) Jarvis, brother David Jarvis, and maternal grandparents Dr. Jerry and Lucille Barnett. He is also survived by Stacey's parents Dan and Jackie McFarlane, her brothers Brent and Tara McFarlane, Corey and Aileen McFarlane, and Casey and Hana McFarlane, also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents. A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday October 18, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (5455 50th Ave NW, Rochester, MN). Visitation will be Monday October 17, 2022, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the Oronoco Cemetery.
