Brian Nordine, age 74, passed away peacefully on March 20th, 2026, at Samaritan Bethany Nursing home in Rochester, MN.
He was born November 17th, 1951, to Charles and Betty Nordine in Rochester, MN
He graduated in 1970 from John Marshall High School in Rochester, MN. He attended St. Cloud State University where he enjoyed playing hockey while he obtained his bachelor's degree in education. He spent a few years teaching in Morristown, MN
He moved back and worked for the Rochester Public schools in various roles. He worked for several years at JCPenney's in different departments. He married Debra K Hall in August of 1982. They had two children, Christopher and Kelly. Brian and Deb later divorced. After retirement Brian moved up to Cable, WI with his longtime companion Ann Bartocci, where he enjoyed the north woods lifestyle.
In his free time, he enjoyed pheasant hunting, fishing, singing in the church choir, spending time in the north woods of Wisconsin with Ann and watching sports, especially hockey.
After some health issues Brian moved back to Rochester in 2021 and was residing at Samaritan Bethany Nursing home.
Brian is survived by his son Christopher (Heather) and daughter Kelly (Chris), his brothers Charlie (Mary) and Bruce, his grandsons Blake, Logan and Gavin. He is also survived by Ann Bartocci, her family and grandkids.
Brian is proceeded by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
A visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN 55901. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank you to the staff at Samaritan Bethany and Mayo Hospice for their excellent care.
