Charles Blink

Charles "Jack" J. Blink A Celebration of Life for Charles "Jack" Blink, age 85 will be at 11:00 am on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Jack passed away on June 15, 2023 at his home. He was born on November 1, 1937 in Ortonville, MN to Joseph and Lora (Voeltz) Blink. Jack graduated from Ortonville High School in MN and South Dakota State College of Pharmacy in Brookings, SD. During school Jack excelled at golf and basketball, even leading his small town to the Minnesota State Basketball Tournament in 1955. Jack first worked at Landherr Drug in Austin MN, and then owned and operated Blink's Valley Drug in Spring Valley MN. He later built the Dairy Queen in Spring Valley. Jack's love of golf throughout his life lead to his passion of coaching and was currently coaching at First Tee at Hadley Creek. Survivors include his wife, Karol of Rochester; Timothy (Jennifer) of Woodbury, MN, Robert of Cresskill, NJ and Regina Blink of Jackson, MN; five grandchildren, Joe and Jack Blink and Megan, Erin and Ben Gallagher; and a sister, MaryJo Plouf of Tampa, FL. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, and son-in-law, Dave. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to First Tee at Hadley Creek.
