Cheryl Ann Grant

Cheryl A. Grant, 70, of Claremont, Minnesota (formerly of Rochester, MN) passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022 at her home. Cheryl Ann Grant was born June 29, 1951 in Rochester, Minnesota the daughter of Norman and Betty (Flood) Grant. She was a graduate of John Marshall High School. She began her work career at Star Bulk Trucking then Fitzgerald Moving and Transfer helping with the family business. She later worked for Northland Builders and as a medical secretary for Olmsted Medical Center. Cheryl took great pride in her family and cherished her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She loved her cats and dogs, playing bingo, attending casinos, drinking Pepsi cola with Ruffles potato chips and Cheetos. She loved sharing stories, laughing and having a good time. She enjoyed watching Garfield, and listening to and watching country music videos of Dwight Yoakam, Waylon Jennings and Alan Jackson. In her younger days, she enjoyed talking on the CB radio and a cold PBR. She was an avid Vikings fan, loved gardening roses and gladiolas. She could always wait until tomorrow and her favorite quote "I'll figure it out". She is survived by her sister, Deborah (Gerald) Mohs of Little Falls, MN; nieces and nephews, Kayla Kochen, Alaina (Jeff) Carlson, Alysha Mohs, John (Kristia) Mitchell, Jason (Alicia) Grant, Crystal Grant, Mark (Jennifer) Mitchell; 17 great nieces and nephews; extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Roger; two brothers, Norman Jr. and Gerald; her sister, Sandra Mitchell. A visitation to celebrate Cheryl's life will be held 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, May 13, 2022 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN 55901. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Paws and Claws.
