Connie Skauge

Connie Ruth Skauge, age 73, of Rochester, MN passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Mayo Clinic- Methodist hospital in Rochester, MN.

Connie was born on April 28, 1950 to Elmer and Irene (Loppnow) McGuire in Winona, MN. She attended Mayo High School in Rochester then went on to complete her general education at Rochester Community and Technical College. Connie was united in marriage to Joel Skauge on April 24, 1971 in Rochester, MN. Together the couple were blessed with two children, Jason and Nicole. The couple lived and spent most of their lives near and in Rochester. Connie enjoyed making crafts, cats, and her Diet Pepsi. She spent many years hand crafting and sewing quilts, rugs and other items that she would sell at Thursdays on First in downtown Rochester.

Her parents, Elmer and Irene McGuire, precede her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joel Skauge; her children, Jason (Shelly) Skauge, and Nicole (Brian) Kelly; her grandchildren, Joel, Emily, and Michael; and her brother, Ralph (Carmen) McGuire.

Inurnment of her cremated remains will take place at Preston State Veteran's Cemetery in Preston, MN.
