Constance Dawn Bowen

Connie Bowen, 101, of Rochester passed away peacefully at Arbor Terrace on May 31, 2021. She was born on April 27, 1920 in Mankato, Minnesota to Harry R. and Clara A. (Burgess) Jones. She graduated from College High School and married Lloyd W. Bowen on May 29, 1941. They were blessed with 3 children, Bradley, Kathleen and Craig. Connie worked at the Mayo Clinic for 26 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her ultimate love and joy in life was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Connie spent her many years of retirement doing the things she loved the most, shopping, spending time with her family, traveling and Friday morning coffee with her friends. She had a particular fondness for purses and shoes, even shopping for them on her 101st birthday celebration. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd, son, Bradley, granddaughter Heather Bowen and 2 sisters, Joyce and Betty. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Thomson and son, Craig (Darlene) Bowen; grandchildren, Joseph (Jen) Thomson, Jeffrey Thomson (Stan Cuomo), Carey (Corey) Bowen Hansen, Cory Bowen and Connie (David) Bowen Dostal; great grandchildren, Natalie Thomson, Layla Thomson, Cheyenne Coyle Hansen, Lauren Johnson, Abigail Johnson, Hannah Hansen, Isabelle Dostal and Lloyd Bowen Young. Our family would like to give a special thanks to Arbor Terrace for Connie's exceptional care, particularly Holly, Paula, Marcella and Mao. A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Oakwood Cemetery.
