Daniel Bielen

Daniel J. Bielen, 81, of Byron, MN passed away at his home on June 23, 2026.

Dan grew up in Springfield, MN and graduated from Lourdes High School. He was in the US Army for 3 years and then attended Rochester Community College. On June 15, 1968, Dan married Betty Hanson. The couple made their home in Byron. Dan worked at IBM for over 40 years.

Dan enjoyed gardening, fishing, feeding birds, bowling, and of course, chauffeuring his daughter, Angie.

He is survived by his wife Betty; his children, Wendy (Stacy) Jahraus, Chad (Shelly) Bielen, Angie Bielen and Jenni (Dennis) Kim; grandchildren, Aiden (Trent) Nelson, Kiya Jahraus, Reid Bielen, Jace Jahraus, Ellie Kim, and Addie Kim; and great-granddaughter Noa Nelson.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.

Per Dan's request, a private family celebration of life will take place. In memory of Dan, donations can be made to Bear Creek Services or Ability Building Center (ABC).
