Dawn Marie (Opstein) Buss, 80, of Rochester, MN, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021, at Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island following a lengthy illness. Dawn was born in Waseca, MN, on December 20, 1940. She settled in Rochester with her three children and worked at many different jobs over the years. She took courses in child development and always enjoyed working with people. Dawn was very friendly and generous with her friends. She often tried to help neighbors in need of assistance. Dawn and Harold enjoyed traveling during the early years of their marriage and bought a small acreage in Kellogg, MN where they lived with many pets until moving to Rochester in 2014. Dawn loved her family, was especially proud of all her grandchildren and absolutely loved animals of all kinds. Over the years she cared for many dogs, cats, birds and goats.
