Donald Buske

Donald L. Buske, 91, of Rochester died in his home Monday, March 2, after spending the day with the love of his life, Kathryn (Hovey) Buske.

In addition to spending time with Kathryn, Donald enjoyed woodcarving, drawing, writing poems, singing in the Bethel Lutheran church choir, driving across the country, USS Hornet ship reunions, Buske breakfasts, making fun of his wife's Scandinavian heritage until his DNA test revealed that he too was part "Scandihoovian," and his family.

Don leaves behind his loving wife, Kathryn, his son Tim Buske of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, his daughter and son-in-law Terri and Scott Stinebruner of Louisville, Kentucky, and his grandchildren Katie, Ben and Emily.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Bethel Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, MN.
