Rochester- A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald T. Johnson, age 91,will be held at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday January 5th at 11:00A.M.With Rev. Charlie Collins officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00A.M.-11:00A.M on Wednesday at the funeral home..Donald passed away December 31, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home in Wabasha, MN. Donald was born February 18, 1919 in Rochester, MN. to Andrew and Isabelle (O'Neil) Johnson. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1938 and worked at the Weber and Judd Drug Store. He married Frances Heaton at St. Francis Catholic Church January 31, 1942 in Rochester. He served almost 4 years in the Army Medical Corp. during World War II. He was with the 105th Station Hospital in Africa and Italy.He was a member of the Rochester Fire Department for 27 years serving in the Fire Inspection Bureau for 10 years. He retired in July 1980. He and his wife lived in Rochester, Plainview and currently Wabasha. For 20 years he enjoyed spending winters in Arizona. He liked to play golf, go fishing and dancing. He was a member of the American Legion.Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Frances, one daughter, Sheila, Mrs. James(George) Bronk of Millville, 3 Grandchildren; George Bronk (Bridget) of Rollingstone, Dennis Bronk of Millville and Ann Bronk of Millville, Great Granchildren: Samantha, Jordan and Cody of Rollingstone.He was preceded in death by three half brothers; Norman, Francis and James Sheets and his sister Dorothy Pressnall.
