Donna M Hanson

A private memorial service for Donna M. Hanson, 85 of Rochester will be on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Zumbro Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 5-8 pm at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home.  Inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Donna Mae Haes was born on September 5, 1935 in Vernon Center, MN to Julius and Josephine (Cleveland) Haes.  She passed away on February 4, 2021 at Cottagewood.  She graduated from Mankato High School and St. Marys School of Nursing. On July 14, 1957 she married Charles E. Hanson.  Donna worked as a private duty nurse at St. Marys Hospital and in 1974 the Orthopedic Nursing Supervisor at Mayo Clinic.  She retired as the Spine Nursing Supervisor in 1994.  She was a member of Zumbro Lutheran Church, alumni of St. Marys School of Nursing and of the Red Wing Collectors Society.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, past summers at Loveless Lake in WI and wintering in Mesa, AZ. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, needlework, antiquing, playing solitare and making Kachina Dolls. Survivors include her husband, Charles; three daughters, Deborah Hanson of White River Junction, VT Bonnie (Scott) Rindahl of Stewartville, Connie (Greg) Ohnstad of Rochester; three grandchildren, Ben Ohnstad, Jacqui Ohnstad and Marie Rindahl; one brother, Julius "Bud" (Darline) Haes of Lincoln, NE.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters. Memorials can be directed to the Mayo Clinic for Alzheimer's Research. Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Hanson family.
