Her family and grandchildren were the most important part of her life. Dorothy enjoyed baking cookies for family and friends and was an excellent cook. She had a sharp memory and always remembered everyone's birthday, anniversary or special event. We used to joke she should buy stock at Hallmark with all the cards she sent. Dorothy was a leader in brownies, cub scouts, girl scouts and boy scouts while her children were growing up. She was involved in the PTA and took her kids to sporting events as their Dad occasionally traveled for work. An active member in her church in New York, Maryland and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Rochester serving in Ruth Circle and Quilting Club.
