Eleanor Canale

It is with great sorrow that the family of Eleanor Jean Canale announce her passing on February 4, 2021, in Rochester, MN.   Born September 21, 1932, in Boston, MA, to Margaret and David Worster, she graduated high school in Ripley, New York and then attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, where she also proudly obtained a private pilot's license.  She then graduated from Syracuse University, where she met her future husband, Henry Canale, and they married in 1953.  They lived in New York until moving to Rochester in 1972.  She worked as a housekeeping supervisor for Mayo Clinic until her retirement in 1994.  She was much loved and respected by all her staff at Mayo Clinic.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a very generous person who loved giving gifts.  She also greatly enjoyed many pets through the years.   Eleanor leaves her memories to be cherished by her son, David (Rhonda); her three grandchildren, Tavis, Tyson, and Torey; and great-grandson, Declan. She was predeceased by her husband and daughter, Brenda.  The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Joy Forsberg and Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care and kindness.  No service or visitation will be held.
