Gina Marie Posivio, 63, of Rochester, MN

It is with deep sadness that we share that our beloved Gina Marie Posivio passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the age of 63. She fought breast cancer three times with strength, courage, and grace, and her love deeply touched all who knew her.

Gina was born on June 16, 1962, in Albert Lea, MN, to Harold (Billy) and Lavonne Christenson. She grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from high school there in 1980. On May 11, 1985, Gina was united in marriage with Kevin Posivio in Albert Lea. The couple later moved to Rochester, MN, to build their careers and raise a family.

Gina devoted about thirty years to working in the Fragrances Department at Dayton's, Marshall Fields, and Macy's, where she loved helping people find joy in the little things. She had a passion for traveling with her family, spending time by the water, hosting and attending parties, cheering on the Vikings, watching the game show network, playing Mario, and sneaking away for a fun trip to the casino. Most importantly, she shared laughter, love, and fun with her family and the people she cherished. Gina had a zest for life and a spontaneous spirit, always seizing every opportunity to enjoy each day. Every person who met her felt her warmth. She was a loyal friend and a joy to be around.

Gina is survived by her daughters, Brianna (Grant) Eckhoff and Brooke (Jason) Macken; her granddaughter, Wrenley Eckhoff; and her siblings, Jodi Overlee and Tom (Kimm) Christenson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kevin in 2016, and her sister Debbie Delgado.

Friends and family who wish to honor Gina's life are invited to attend her visitation and funeral service. The visitation will be held Friday, February 6, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 810 3rd Ave SE, Rochester. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Albert Lea, MN.
