Gina Trussoni

January 8, 1963 — August 11, 2025

Gina Marie Trussoni, age 62, passed away peacefully at her home in Byron, Minnesota, on August 11, 2025. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

Born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to Gene and Kay Trussoni, Gina grew up surrounded by family and faith. She later married, and remarried, the love of her life, Eric Litsheim. Together they raised their three children-Jeremy Trussoni, Apryl (Leon) Hankins, and Erica (Kyle) Smith-and built a family that was always the center of her world. Gina was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren and a beloved sister to Lisa Kimura (Trussoni), Shari Trussoni, Antonette Trussoni, and David (Tracey) Trussoni.

Gina was known for her strength, independence, and generous spirit. She cherished her relationships above all else and was often the one to bring people together, whether for a spontaneous meal or a family vacation. She loved including not only her children and grandchildren, but also her siblings, nieces, and nephews-making sure no one ever felt left out. She embraced life with joy and energy, always ready for karaoke nights, dancing to live music, or planning the next adventure.

Her career was also a meaningful part of her life. After earning her degree in Computer Science from Western Wisconsin Technical College, Gina went on to build a career at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She deeply valued her work, her colleagues, and her time as a member of the Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center, where she enjoyed exercising and connecting with others.

In accordance with her wishes, a celebration of life will be held in her honor on Sunday, September 28, 2025, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Goose Island Park, Shelter #4, W6488 County Road GI, Stoddard, WI 54658.
