Glenda Marie Kendall

Glenda Marie Kendall went to heaven Friday, September 10, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Dorothy Kurkowski, and her brother in law, Harlan Hermann. She is survived by her husband Allen, her children Allison (Cory) Petell and Andrea (Dario) Kendall Muñoz, and her siblings Larry (Jean) Kurkowski, Ianthe (Harlan) Hermann, and Marda (Albert) DeCamillis. Glenda was born in Binghamton, NY, and soon after moved to Rochester for her father's job at IBM. Glenda graduated from John Marshall, and later went on to become an RN. She and her husband met while at work for the Mayo Clinic medical systems, and lived to share 48 years of marriage together. She was an active member of Autumn Ridge (formerly First Baptist) Church where over the years she was involved in many different ministries: choir, Children's Church, Women's Bible Study, and Vacation Bible School. Quilting and cross stitching groups also brought joy and connection to her faith life. Glenda also took special pride in being a member of a women's a cappella singing group. Glenda enjoyed cooking, singing, sewing, reading, and being a nurse. She wholeheartedly loved the Lord, her family, and her friends. Visitation will be Monday, September 20, 2021 at 2 pm at Autumn Ridge Church, Rochester, MN. Funeral service will be following the visitation at 3pm. Kindly refrain from attending if unvaccinated. Masks encouraged, but not required. Memorials may be directed in the form of donations to the Autumn Ridge Church Care Ministry, the Mayo Clinic Hospice Program, or the Rochester Channel OneRegional Food Bank.
