Harold Hubert Neumann was born to Hubert and Rose (Hammel) Neumann on January 9, 1937, in Quincy Township, Minnesota. On June 22, 1963, he married Janice McCready in St. Paul's United Church of Christ North of Eyota, Minnesota.
The couple farmed near Dover until they moved to Rochester in 1993. He then worked for First Supply and later Ferguson Enterprises until retiring in 2007. He did volunteer work for the Mechanical History Roundtable at the History Center, Urban Impact Ministries in New Orleans, Habitat for Humanity, Rochester CareFest, Operation Christmas Child and the Salvation Army. He was active in Calvary Evangelical Free Church and participated in two mission trips to the Dominican Republic.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Douglas and Jeff (Cathy) and one daughter, Pauline Benson; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren, and two brothers, Kenneth (Theone) and David. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter.
Due to allergies, the family requests no flowers or plants but prefers memorials to Habitat for Humanity or the Salvation Army.
