Helen Craft

Helen Pauline Craft, 102, of Rochester, MN, passed away on March 10, 2024, at Meadow Lakes Senior Living in Rochester, MN.

Helen was born on November 10, 1921, in Detroit, MI to parents Gregory and Mabel (Curnow) McCreary. She married Douglas Craft on May 7, 1941. They raised their young family in Hallstead, PA where Helen grew up.

In 1959, the family moved to Rochester, MN where they resided before moving to Oronoco, MN. After retiring, Helen and Doug split their time between Pharr, Texas and Siren, Wisconsin, before finally settling in Wanamingo, MN.

Helen was a knitter, crocheter and quilter, making practical gifts to comfort and to keep us warm. She left us many handmade treasures to remember her by. Helen and Doug were avid travelers, visiting most all of the lower 48 states and Alaska before giving up their motorhome.

Helen was a member of Oronoco Presbyterian Church.

Helen is survived by her children, Dale (Sandra) Craft of Rochester, MN, and Dennis (Antoinette) Craft of Fridley, MN, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas, her parents, Gregory and Mabel, a son, David and granddaughter Kimberly.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes (5421 Royal PI. NW, Rochester, MN 55901). Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.

Memorials are suggested to the Oronoco Presbyterian Church.
