In Loving Memory of Ing Wu / 吴玉英 February 4th, 1949 - April 27th, 2025.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and aunt, Ing Wu, who departed this life peacefully on April 27th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Battambang Cambodia, Ing Wu endured incredible hardships during her early years. She survived the horrors of the Khmer Rouge regime, overcoming poverty, hunger, and years of hard labor. Despite the unimaginable adversity, her strength and determination carried her through. She eventually found refuge in Thailand and, with hope for a better future, immigrated to the United States and found herself with her family in Bemidji, Minnesota and later moved to Rochester, Minnesota with her family. Eventually meeting and marrying her partner and husband, Chow Wong of over 44 years. Her journey was one of immense courage, strength and her perseverance laid the foundation for the life and oopportunitiesshe created for her family.

Ing Wu worked tirelessly to create a better life for her family. She was known for her strong will, deep love for her family, and her readiness to help whenever she was needed. Her resilience and bold spirit, shaped by the hardships she had overcome, made her a source of strength and guidance for those around her. She faced life with courage and determination, and her presence left a lasting impact on everyone she touched. She loved to garden, plant flowers after the cold winters and cook for her family. She would always go above and beyond in preparing meals for her children and grandchildren. Making sure they would never go hungry. It was her love language. She taught her children how to succeed in life and passed on her cooking recipes.

She is survived by her husband Chow Park Wong, two children: Peter and Pauline; two grandchildren: Bennett and Eloise; sister Yeak Sieng Ou. She was preceded in death by her father, Cheng Kim Ngov, and mother, Soy Muoy Kor, her older brothers, Suy Hai Ou, Nam Ngov, her older sister, Yeak Ouer Ou.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 4pm - 6pm at Ranfranz & Vine Fu-neral Homes, 5421 Royal Pl NW, Rochester, Minnesota. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester. A celebration of life to follow on May 9th at 12pm at the family residence.

We will miss her dearly, but we take comfort in knowing her spirit remains with us, with the lessons she's instilled upon us.
