Jacob Halloran

November 6, 1985 - November 15, 2025

Jacob Stephen Halloran passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on November 15, 2025. He was born in Oak Harbor, WA on November 6, 1985, to Richard "Dick" and Denise Halloran. Jake was the third of the four "J" Halloran boys growing up in Chatfield, MN, where he attended Chatfield Public Schools. Jake grew up loving and playing sports, specifically football and baseball, and was a proud member of both varsity teams. He graduated from Chatfield High School in 2004.

Upon graduating high school, he attended Rochester Community & Technical College, Winona State University (WSU), where he earned a bachelor's degree in teaching, and Minnesota State University, Mankato (MSU), where he earned a master's degree in Sports Management. During his college days, you'd regularly find him working WSU and MSU sporting events on nights and weekends, followed by the occasional post-game social hour with close friends and family. After graduating from MSU, Jake joined the team at Rochester Toyota, where he spent over seven years as a successful sales professional. He continued to meet new people and forged strong relationships. During this time, he joined the Rochester Motor Cars group Polar Plunge team benefiting Special Olympics - Jake proudly completed over 100 jumps! Following his tenure at Rochester Toyota and three years at Custom Alarm in Rochester, he began working at SPS Commerce in Minneapolis to continue his career in sales.

There was never a doubt, however, regarding his top priority and focus: Family. Jake deeply loved and cared for his parents and brothers growing up. The six of them spent their time together watching and playing sports, enjoying boat days on the Mississippi River, and taking family vacations. From 2004 to 2019, you could find Jake playing first base or pitching on slow-pitch softball teams all over the Southeast MN region. If you looked around, you'd inevitably find him playing on the field with at least one of his brothers, while a combination of his parents and other brothers watched from the sidelines. Jake also loved attending concerts - O.A.R. was his favorite band, and he traveled across state lines to see them more than 20 times. He also attended more Minnesota Twins, Wild, and Vikings games than he probably should have, and was a proud Vikings season ticket holder since 2013.

But his biggest blessing, and what he was most proud of, happened on July 9, 2019, when his son, Titan Stephen, was born in Rochester. His life changed that day for the better. Jake was so proud of Titan; he instantly became the priority. Jake would do anything to spend time with, support, and be the reliable dad to Titan that Jake's dad was to him. Titan was, and will always be, Jake's world.

Every step along the way, from childhood until his passing, Jake built lifelong friendships. He had the best sense of humor, a big laugh, a bigger smile, and was always there when you needed a kind, rock-steady, caring ear.

Jake is survived by his son, Titan; mother, Denise; brother Jeremiah (Ann) and their children Cooper, Caleb, Aubrey, and Noah; brother Jared (Allie) and their children Nora and Ethan; brother Jesse (Natalie) and their children Ian and Isaac; grandpa, Gaylon Amy (Sue); and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Jake is preceded in death by his father, Dick; and grandparents, Jim Halloran, Marian Halloran, and Marjorie Amy.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6th at 1:00pm at the United Methodist Church in Chatfield, MN. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials made payable to 'The Memorial of Jacob Halloran' to support Titan.
