James Krudwig

James "Jim" Leonard Krudwig, age 86, of Oronoco, MN passed away at his home from cancer on Sunday, June 14th, 2026 in Oronoco, MN. Jim was born on August 10th, 1939 in Rochester, MN to George and Dolores (Moen) Krudwig. He graduated from high school in Rochester, MN. He worked for his father at the family business, Krudwig Plumbing and Heating. He eventually took over the family business and was very proud to be in the plumbing business for over 60 years. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Kaul on June 10th, 1972 in Oronoco, MN. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and riding his Harley. He had many good times at the family cabin up north. He made growing up at home fun for his kids: riding horses, dirt bikes, four wheelers, and snowmobiles.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, George and Dolores Krudwig; his wife, Kathleen; his daughter, Kerry Krudwig; and his siblings, Jean, John, and Barb.

He is survived by his children, Lori (Bill) Walker, Karise (Jeff) Peleaux, Janice (Mike) Jensen, Joanna (Clay) Wittlief, and Constance (Todd) Wileman; and 30+ grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, June 19th, 2026 at Grace Lutheran Church in Oronoco, MN (45 1st Ave NE, Oronoco, MN 55960). Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18th, 2026 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes (5421 Royal Place NW Rochester, MN 55901) and one hour prior to the service at church on Friday. Burial will take place at Oronoco Cemetery at a later date.

The family wants to thank the staff from Season's Hospice for their loving care in Jim's final days.
