Jacqueline Ann Rueber, 84, of Oronoco, MN, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Madonna Towers in Rochester, MN.
Jacqueline was born on February 20, 1940, in Oronoco, MN to parents Oscar and Emily (Kettner) Bell. She grew up in Oronoco, MN, and graduated from Rochester High School in 1957. On July 12, 1958, Jacqueline married the love of her life, Robert Rueber, in Oronoco, MN. The couple made their home there and together they had two children, Kim and Dale. Jacqueline later began her career at IBM in Rochester, where she worked from 1978 to 1993.
Jacqueline loved quilting and sewing and even donated many quilts to various people and organizations. She enjoyed spending time with her family and vacationing at Lake Kabetogama. She will be missed by many and will be fondly remembered by her grandkids as "Gram."
Jacqueline is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert; her children Kim (Jerry) Jensen of Oronoco, MN, and Dale Rueber of Red Wing, MN; three grandchildren, Shelly (Josh) Harens, Mike (Nicole) Kann, and Alex (Josh) Pister; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Daniel (Dawn) Bell. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Emily; brother, Fred Bell; and sister, Mary Jech.
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00-4:00 pm on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the Ranfranz and Vine Remembrance and Reception Centre (5482 Royal Place NW
Rochester, MN 55901). Burial will be at Oronoco Cemetery.
The family would like to extend many thanks to the staff at Madonna Towers memory care unit as well as to Seasons Hospice.
