Jason Keller Weinrich, passed away October 27th at Methodist Campus. Jason had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer only weeks ago and was receiving hospice care. Last Friday he took a bad fall, hitting his head on the cement floor. St. Mary's determined that he had a brain bleed and possible mini stroke and never did regain consciousness.
Jason graduated from R.C.L.S., John Marshall and received a Master's Degree in Anthropology from Northfield College, and a Bachelor of Science degree...also graduating summa cum laude.
Jason excelled in his passion of Archaeology. He was Survey Crew Chief, U. of Iowa. Laboratory Director, U. of Illinois and survey Technician, U of Illinois. Jason's field experience also included Augustana College Archaeology Laboratory in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Jason was married and later divorced. His father, Dr. Robert W. Weinrich preceded him in death and is survived by his mother, Nancy Lehnertz Weinrich, his aunt Sue Lehnertz, sister Mary (Peter) Hiller, and two brothers, Donald (Deb) Weinrich and Michael Weinrich.
Jason was a kind and caring sole and will be greatly missed by friends and family.
