Joshua Edward Koch

Josh Koch, of Coon Rapids, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 34 on November 22, 2021. Josh was born in Aurora, CO on April 9, 1987. Those who knew Josh, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. Josh was known for his big heart, quick wit, love of the Green Bay Packers and hanging out with his family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time with grandparents, camping at Winnie, waterskiing, snowmobiling, and fishing with his buddies. His love of sports was shared with his Grandpa Schuck and his mom. He and his mom went to his first Packer game at Lambeau in 2010 and had a great day together. Josh will be missed everyday by his mom, Renee (Jim Slade) and his dad, Keith. In addition to his parents, Josh will be missed by the love of his life Ashley Spanovich; Grandma, Arona Schuck; Grandpa, Bill Koch; aunts; uncles; cousins; extended family, and many good friends. Josh was preceded in death by his Grandpa, Ed Schuck; Grandma, Emily Koch and by his great-grandparents. His smile and laugh always lit up a room. He was loved more than words can express and our hearts are broken. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 3, 2021 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday, December 2, 2021 and one hour prior to the service all at the funeral home. Burial will be at Byron Cemetery.
