Judith Marie Priniski

June 23, 1959 — March 16, 2021

Judith "Judy" Marie Priniski, age 61, of Rochester, MN passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. Judy was born June 23, 1959 in Hamtramck, Michigan, the daughter of Edward and Elaine (Smith) Deyo. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School in Warren, MI and earned her Certificate of Nursing at Henry Ford Hospital. She worked for the Marquette General Hospital and Marquette Community Health Services. On August 16, 1986 she was united in marriage to John Priniski. In 1988, they moved to Rochester, MN where they raised their three children. Judy worked as a nurse for Olmsted County Hospital, Maple Manor, and Charter House. Judy was known for her unwavering faith and commitment to living a life of service to others. Throughout her life she was involved in various activities, including being a spokesperson for the Detroit America Lung Association Education Program, as well as volunteering in various capacities at church. She was consistently working to provide support and comfort whenever she had the chance and continued to be an advocate for all of those she could help. The strength of her love, faith, and capacity for caring were an inspiration to all those around her. Judy was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Nothing was more important or more enjoyable to her than spending time with her family. Judy also cherished the time spent with her friends and her dog, Stuart. She was a lover of games and game shows, birds, her husband's cooking, soft blankets, and Hallmark movies, and a formidable Scrabble opponent. She shared a quirky sense of humor with her husband. Few things made her smile more than spending time with others and socializing with those around her. She is survived by her husband, John Priniski of Rochester, MN; children, Joshuah (Stacy) Priniski of Eagan, MN, Timothy (Briana) Priniski of Rochester, MN and Johannah Priniski of Rochester, MN; four grandchildren, Lucas, Lillian, Elijah and Addilyn; siblings Edward "Mike" (Carolyn) Deyo of Marquette, MI, Linda (Don) Wrobel of Traverse City, MI and Don Deyo of Munising, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Catherine Andrews, and brother, Ron Deyo. A private celebration of Judy's life will be held in the summer. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Judy's name to the American Lung Association, Arthritis Foundation, or Olmsted County Mental Health Coalition. Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Priniski family. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no services held at this time.
