Katharine Sigrid Bilodeau

Katharine S. Bilodeau, age 84 died Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Whitewater Health Services in St. Charles, Minnesota. She was born in Rochester, Minnesota and the daughter of Harold Waters and Ingeborg Boen Waters. Katharine graduated from Minneapolis West High School in 1955 and with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Minnesota in 1960. Katharine married John A. Bilodeau in Minneapolis in 1979. Katharine volunteered several years at the History Center of Olmsted County, where she transcribed over 4,000 Mayo family letters for the History Center Archives. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband, John Bilodeau, sister, Elizabeth Gallanis, and a nephew, Peter Gallanis. She is survived by a step-daughter Jean A. Bichel (Rick) of Cannon Falls and a nephew, Thomas P. Gallanis of Iowa City, IA. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Bear Creek Lutheran Church, 74727 265th Street, Grand Meadow, MN. Memorials may be sent to the Bear Creek Lutheran Church or the History Center of Olmsted County.
