Lynda Hyberger

Lynda Fae Hyberger, age 78, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Lynda was born on May 4, 1947, in Wykoff, Minnesota. She attended and graduated from LeRoy High School, where she was actively involved in band, choir, and student council. After high school, Lynda married Lloyd Hyberger and the couple shared two sons together; they later divorced. Lynda went on to earn her Master's Degree in Education.

In 2013, Lynda married the love of her life, David Haagensen. Together, they were devoted members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minnesota. Lynda was deeply involved in church life and found joy in serving others, especially through helping prepare and serve church luncheons. Lynda loved strong coffee, occasionally enjoyed a glass of wine, and never turned down something sweet. Lynda was a beautiful pianist and taught piano lessons from her home for many years.

She is survived by her husband, David Haagensen; sons, Anthony Hyberger and David (Kristin) Hyberger; her stepsons, Alex (Lindsey) Haagensen, Michael (Jamie) Haagensen, and Scott (Rachel) Haagensen; grandchildren, Logan Hyberger and Tyson, Alivia, Logan, Owen, Keira

and Haley Haagensen, her special friend, Katy Domaille; and her beloved goddaughter, Melissa Adams as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minnesota. Refreshments and sweets to follow. Burial will take place at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
