Lynn Marie Laufenberg passed away unexpectedly at her home in Rochester mid-July.
She was born at St.Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI, where her mother was a pediatric nurse. Through her school years she made many friends. On graduating she attended Minnesota Bible College in Rochester, making more friends and her home there.
She worked for several companies and was in the office of Gil Gutknect (US Rep., MN). Her last years were in the Rochester office of Social Security.
Lynn dealt with kidney failure for a number of years, until a living donor gave her a kidney in early 2002. This gave her a second life for 23 more years.
Lynn is survived by parents Lyle & Linda Laufenberg of Madison, WI; sister Karin Beyer, niece Evelyn Beyer, and nephew Will Beyer of Wauwatosa, WI; and many friends near and far.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life at 11 am on August 9, 2025 at Destiny Church, 3240 40th Ave. NW, Rochester, MN, with visitation from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, or to Destiny Church, 3240 40th Ave. NW, Rochester, MN 55901.
