Marilyn Day

Marilyn Marie (Griffin) Day, age 91, of Rochester, MN, died peacefully on December 2, 2025, surrounded by family at her home.

Marilyn was born on July 12, 1934, in Rochester, MN, daughter of William and Mary (Adamson) Griffin, and was part of a very large family with 3 sisters and 4 brothers. She graduated from Lourdes High School in Rochester, MN. On May 5, 1962, she married Lowell Day.

Marilyn worked for many years preparing and serving the food for the children at Bamber Valley Elementary School. She also assisted her husband in the daily operations at their family-owned business and her daughter's dance studio. Marilyn enjoyed cooking, baking, had a green thumb for plants and flowers, and was an avid watch collector with over 165 watches.

She is survived by husband Lowell, daughter Colleen Day, sons Jeff (Sheri) Day and Brian (Sarah) Day. Also, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Resurrection Catholic Church, 1600 11th Ave SE, Rochester, MN. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until time of mass. Burial will be at St. Bridgets Cemetery in Simpson.
