Marilyn Elizabeth Hetman

Marilyn Hetman, of Rochester, was blessed to pass on peacefully on February 23, 2021. Marilyn was born April 11, 1924 in Lake City, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Joseph and Edna Berg. After High School, Marilyn completed Business College and worked her whole career as an area clerk for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Marilyn enjoyed traveling and gardening very much. She also enjoyed reading and for many years bike riding. Most of all, Marilyn loved her three grandchildren; babysitting them, reading to them, baking for them, and listening to them play the piano were her greatest joys. Marilyn always had a gentle smile and friendly "Hello" for all she met. Her cheerful optimism to overcome adversity and her selflessness were gifts to her family. She was dearly loved and will be missed greatly. A special thank you to all of the 4th floor supportive nursing staff at Charter House for their loving care. A special thank you also to Ann, Noah, and Vala, and to Pastor Rachael Hanson. "In the sweet by and by We shall meet on that beautiful shore." Arrangements by Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home.
