Marion Zahhos

Marion G. (Mangos) Zahhos, 95, of Minneapolis, MN, peacefully passed away on October 23, 2023, surrounded by family in Rochester, MN.

Preceded in death by her husband, George, her true love from the first day they met in 1946; her parents, Gus and Nickie; son-in-law, Bill; daughter, Niki, and grandson, Nicholas. She deeply loved her entire family.

Marion will always be remembered for her spunk, laughter, optimism, and her ever present smile. She volunteered throughout her life in organizations such as the Philoptochos, the Mother's Singers, the Zuhrah Shrine Women's Auxiliary and the annual Minneapolis and Rochester Greek Festivals. We know she is now dancing with her husband in heaven. We'll always imagine hearing her say, "if you're waiting for me, you're wasting time." We couldn't have asked for a better parent and Yiayia (grandmother), and will miss her every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Marion is survived by her children, Connie (Nick), Jim, John; grandchildren, Tia (Richard), John (Katie), Mariya (Than), Louis, Michael (Rose), Nicki, Dena (Brian), & Maria (Cory); great-grandchildren, Elliot, Charlotte, Nicolas, Callum, and George. Our entire family will honor her legacy with continuing love, humility, and appreciation for the time we were given to be with her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM with 5 PM Trisagion Service at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes (5421 Royal Pl NW Rochester, MN 55901).

A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 10 AM at Holy Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church (703 W Center Street Rochester, MN 55902).

Interment will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Lakewood Cemetery (3600 Hennepin Ave. Minneapolis, MN 55408).

Memorials preferred to either St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church or Holy Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church, Rochester, MN.
