Marjorie Ann Danewick

March 16, 1931 — October 7, 2021

Marge Danewick went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct 7th, 2021 while at the home of her daughter. Marjorie Ann (Arnold) Danewick was born on March 16th, 1931 in Rochester, MN to Floyd and Gwendolyn Arnold. On Sept 7th, 1948 she married Elmer (Bud) Danewick. They had three children: Sandra (Les) Cookman, Skip Danewick, and Vicki (Larry) Solem: five grandchildren: Tom (Monica) Cookman, Elissa (Jon) Kuert, Amy (Tom) Hale, Jenny (Ted) Burnham, and Erin (Adam) Mahutga. She was also blessed with 9 great grandchildren: Ashley, Brianna, Charlie, Gili, Tayden, Kayla, Ian, Evan, and Owen and one great-great grandson on the way, Leo. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Duane and sister Patricia. While her children were growing up she was a loving and supportive homemaker. Over the years she also helped in several family business ventures such as the Fourth St Motel and their lovely Scandinavian import shop, Dannevig Imports. While living in Naples, Florida, she received a license to provide in-home care for people and continued that back in Rochester as an Adult Foster Care Provider. Over the years she also wore many volunteer hats: Den Mother, Brownie Scout Leader, Pink Lady, Church Deaconess, and Mayo Clinic volunteer. At the age of 90, Marge remained active with family gatherings & events, and walking for exercise. Marge was known as the family prayer warrior, as she prayed earnestly for all the requests passed on to her from both family and friends. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her immense joy and she attempted to get to as many events of theirs as she could. She stayed in touch with all of them almost daily via her ever present iPad. Marge attended Autumn Ridge Church and was a part of the Women's Bible Study there which she thoroughly enjoyed. Her greatest goal in life was to bring others to Jesus and she often gave away devotionals, prayed for others and encouraged those around her. She was truly a light to everyone she met. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Monday, October 11 at 11:00 AM, at Autumn Ridge Church in the Timothy Chapel. Visitation is Sunday, October 10 from 5-7 PM at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home and also one hour prior to service on Monday. The family wishes to thank Seasons Hospice for their thoughtful service. Memorials can be made out to Autumn Ridge Church, Seasons Hospice or a ministry that one of her grandchildren leads called Chi Alpha.
