Mark (Birgy) Daniel Birgin, 63, of Wabasha, MN (recently moved from Kasson, MN) passed away at home surrounded by family, on October 4, 2025.
Mark was born on June 20, 1962, in Rochester, MN to parents Paul and Patricia (Betlach) Birgin. He graduated from John Marshall High School and went on to earn a degree from Mankato Vo Tech before beginning his career as a Graphic Designer. He spent 35 years working for Court Sports and More in Owatonna, MN. On October 14, 1989, he married Ann Sletten at St. Pius Church in Rochester. The couple had two daughters, Alisha and Rebekah.
Mark enjoyed all things outdoors, from his pristine gardens to the trout streams, if it was something you could do outside, you'd find Mark there. Between the countless hunting and fishing trips made with friends, the memories that were made are priceless. His artwork was a source of pride, whether it was designing pieces for the Minnesota Waterfowl Stamp or fun works of art for a t-shirt, every piece done was his pride and joy.
Mark loved spending time with Ann, the girls and most recently his son-in-law Thomas and grandson Cameron. Trips made to the lake or state parks where we could throw a fishing line in the water and see who could catch the first fish. Taking the side-by-side out became a new hobby where they could go and explore for agates.
Mark is survived by his wife, Ann; daughters, Alisha Birgin and Rebekah (Thomas) Vuong; grandson, Cameron Vuong; siblings, Scott (Shelly) Birgin, Debbie Birgin and Theresa (Chris) Lucus; as well as many other family members and friends who love him dearly. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Patricia; and a brother Thomas Birgin.
