Mary Beth Ean

Mary Beth Ean, age 66, died on October 16, 2026 at her group home in Rochester, MN.

Mary had congestive heart failure and dementia.

Mary Beth Ean was born on August 2, 1960, the daughter to Loretta and Norbert Ean of Calmar, IA. Mary attended special education classes in Decorah, IA until she turned 10. Mary finished her schooling at St. Colletta's school in Jefferson, Wisc. Mary came home to live with her mother in Calmar after graduation. In the fall of 1994 Mary moved to Rochester, MN to live with her sister, Holly Keune. Mary later moved into a REM group home in Rochester. She attended several day programs: Opportunity Services, ABC and SMB. Mary worked at the Blondel Hotel in Rochester for many years assisting in the laundry area and made many friends. She loved her audio books and anything Christmas.

Like many of us in her family she had a bit of a sweet tooth and never met a pie she didn't like.

Mary's survivors include her two sisters: Claudette (John) Lamprecht, Burnsville, MN and Holly Keune, Maumelle, AR; and her brother Jay (Renee) Ean of Eyota, MN.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents: Norbert and Loretta Ean; brother, Bruce Ean; and brother-in-law, Alan Keune.

She will be interned at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery in Calmar, IA along with her parents and brother, Bruce.
