Maynard Meyer

Maynard George Meyer, 86 of Rochester passed away on Monday March 30, 2026 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Lake City. He was born October 22, 1939 in Iona Township, near Fulda, MN to George and Wilhelmina "Minnie" (Gerdes) Meyer. He graduated from Mankato State College and started working for Kresge Company (K Mart), where he worked as store manager until retiring at age Sixty, after being transferred nine times. He then worked for Rennings Flowers for Seventeen years. He married Sandra Meyer in 1961, and together had three sons Dean (Rose), James, and Steven (Nancy Crowe), and two granddaughters Ashley (Mason) Dean, and Kaylie, and one great granddaughter Cora Kaye Dean. He is also survived by his sister, Twyla Franzen. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joyce, brother-in-laws Delmar Gehl, and Wayne Franzen, brother-in-law Michael Meyer, and granddaughter Kaylie Meyer at age twenty one.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday April 10, 2026, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church (2124 Viola Road NE, Rochester, MN), visitation will be Thursday April 9, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home.
