Michael Dexter

Michael Dennis Dexter, Sr., 76, of Rochester MN, passed away on November 20, 2025. Michael was born in Rochester, MN to Hazel Marie 'Mitzi' Neitz and James D Dexter. Michael joined the US Marine Corps at age 17 and served two tours in the Vietnam War. He earned numerous medals for his bravery and heroism. Michael stayed actively engaged in Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States his entire life. After his military service, he had a successful career selling vehicles. Michael has always been a "car guy". Michael loved being with friends and family, telling stories, watching television, especially Judge Judy and he was an avid Viking fan. Michael had four children that he was very proud of.

Michael is proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Duffy, sister Bridget, nephews, Matt Koehnen, Mark Timothy Koehnen and Dustin Dexter.

Michael is survived by his children Meriah K (Keith) Conn, Desiree K (Nick) Pegram and Michaela D (Jared Cleveland) Dexter, Michael D (Morgan) Dexter Jr.; Grandchildren, Jacob E Conn, Olivia R Conn, Tristyn L Pegram, Kylee K Pegram, Jaxyn E Pegram, Jack P Cleveland, Lily E Cleveland, Aspen G Dexter and Holland R Dexter; Siblings, Vickie Koehnen, Jim 'Butch' Dexter, MariJo Bell, Lisa Mongold, Colleen Oakley, Sean Dexter and Megan Dexter.

Friends and family are invited to a military burial to be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the Minnesota State Veteran's Cemetery in Preston, MN. (715 US HWY 52 Preston, MN 55965) followed by a celebration of life at the Rochester VFW Post 1215 (2775 43rd Street NW, Rochester, MN 55901).
