Michele Buri

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Michele Evelyn Buri, Age 58, of Racine Minnesota, who passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Michele was born on May 22, 1967, in Rochester to Harry and MaryAnn Wahl. She graduated from St. Marys University of Minnesota and dedicated over 25 years to Mayo Clinic operations, inspiring friends, family and coworkers with her kindness, patience, gentle soul, and passion for learning.

Michele was known for her soft gentle smile, contagious laughter, and unwavering support for her family and friends. She enjoyed family time, fishing, watching her children grow up, going for walks, and anything that her family was doing.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Mike Buri of Racine, MN, her children, Evan Buri, Bemidji, MN and Josh Buri, Winona, MN. And her beloved friend and companion Millie who stood guard every second of every day. She is also survived by her parents, Harry and MaryAnn Wahl of Rochester, MN; her siblings, Annette (Wade) Schulz, Dexter, MN, Theresa (Jeff) Walsh Rochester, MN, and Harry Wahl, Harmony MN; Mother and Father-in-law Dick and Betty Buri Stewartville, MN; Brother-in Law Tim (Kris) Buri Foutain, MN; Sisters-in-law Christine (Curt) Hughes, Stewartville, MN; Shelly (Doyle) Stanger, Chetek, WI, and many nieces and nephews.

She was a calm and gentle soul and brought happiness in any room that she entered. Her laugh was truly contagious and loved everything family. She will continue to light up every room she enters with all of the amazing stories her family and friends have of her. She was a fantastic wife and mother; she would say the greatest and most important title she ever obtained was wife and mother. She will be missed by many.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church, 400 5th Ave. NE, Stewartville, Minnesota from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church in Stewartville, Minnesota at 11:00 a.m.
