Michele Dick

d. May 2, 2024

In loving memory of Michele Diane Dick aged 76, cherished mother, beloved grandmother, dedicated educator, and tireless advocate for her community and congregation, who passed away May 2, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer. She will be deeply missed by her surviving children Michael Dick (Natalie Dick), Melissa Zerwas (Ryan Zerwas), her predeceased son Matthew Dick, and her ten grandchildren Alora, Alex, Elijah, Isla, Theo, Anikin, Leo, Kareah, Michael, and Janie. Michele made friends everywhere and anywhere she went and will be missed by many.

Michele served as both a teacher and a school principal and dedicated the last 25 years of her career at Michigan Department of Corrections. Her belief that education was the foundation for a successful life was unwavering and she was dedicated to supporting rehabilitation. Michele's passion for education extended beyond school walls as she tirelessly worked on countless committees for White Lake Presbyterian Church and served as Sunday school teacher for many years, weaving together faith and service to uplift those in need.

Her remarkable writing talent lent itself to helping those who knew her; between resume writing, grant writing, and memorializing others, she was forever using her skills. Her grant writing enabled her to secure vital resources for countless projects aimed at improving the lives of others.

Her unwavering commitment to those less fortunate has left an indelible mark on her community and beyond. Her years as mission Elder at her church resulted in a long-term relationship with a local school to provide supplies and food to children in need and the creation of a local food pantry.

Though she is no longer with us, Michele's legacy of love, compassion, strength, and service will continue to shine brightly through the countless lives she has touched.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday June 23, 2024 at 1pm at the White Lake Presbyterian Church, located at 4805 Highland Rd, White Lake Charter Township, MI. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the White Lake Presbyterian Food Pantry.
