Nancy Jeannette Busch

Nancy Jeanette Busch, 80, passed away March 15th, 2026.

Nancy was a determined woman who was not going to let cancer dictate her life these last 8 months, so much so that many people didn't even know that she was fighting such a good fight. These are her words she wished to leave us all with:

"As I leave this life to journey to join loved ones that have passed before me; I reflect on the wonderful life I have had. How proud I am of myself and my family. On April 1, 1945, I was a very lucky little girl to have been born to Harry and Dorothy Schlief. Of course there were bumps in the road, as there is in any lifetime; but I have always been surrounded by love, support and forgiveness. My life was filled with love.

On May 6th, 1972, I married Thomas Busch. Together we raised our family of three children, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. I have so much to be thankful for of the life Thomas and I had together. Thank you all for being in my life, for being my family and friends. It was a great life. Give me a thought and a smile once in a while"

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday April 1, 2026 (her 81st birthday) at the New Haven Town Hall from noon-3pm.
