Patricia Crofoot

Patricia Lucille (Griese) Crofoot, 78, of Oronoco, Minnesota, passed away at her home on November 9, 2025.

Patricia was born on January 28, 1947, in Austin, Minnesota, to Arthur and Anna (Cramer) Griese. She graduated from Austin High School and went on to attend nursing school in Rochester. Patricia married James Crofoot, and together they lived in Fort Leonardwood, MO and Rochester, MN before making their home on the family farm in Oronoco, MN, which has been in the family for over 150 years. Patricia worked for the Rochester State Hospital as a psychiatric technician, before transitioning to Barlow's, where she worked in the bakery for many years.

Patricia enjoyed baking, spending time with the friends she'd made working at Barlow's and keeping her house spotless.

She is survived by her sons, James Jr. Crofoot (Angela) of New Hope, MN; and Craig Crofoot (Carol) of Rochester, MN; four grandchildren, Kelsey, Brandon, Dakota, Karissa, and three great grandchildren and two step-grandchildren Bridget and Jeremy and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James (2006), her Siblings, Robert, James, Arlo, Janice, and her parents, Arthur and Anna Griese.

A celebration of life will be held from 11am-2pm on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes (5421 Royal Pl NW, Rochester, MN 55901). A private family burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester, Minnesota.
