Peter A. Delisle, 78, passed away on June 15, 2025, at his home in Rochester, MN, with his wife by his side. Pete was born on March 24, 1947, in Merrill, WI to Robert and Elaine Delisle, who subsequently moved to Rochester, MN. Pete grew up in Rochester attending Public Schools and graduating from John Marshall High School in 1965.
After High School, he enlisted in the US Navy, serving aboard The USS Enterprise, CVA (N) 65, which was Home Ported in Alameda, CA, and mostly deployed to WESTPAC during the Vietnam War Era. He was Honorably Discharged from the Navy in 1970 as an E-6 Interior Communications Technician.
After military service, Pete settled in California, taking advantage of the growing electronics industry. He held positions with several large manufacturers. In 1976, he returned to Rochester and married Beverly (Badger) in 1977.
Pete enjoyed reading scientific literature and was eager to learn "how and why things worked". He spent about 30 years employed in the Electronic Security and Surveillance industry as an employee of Diebold, Inc. and also as an independent contractor. He ended his career selling electronics at Sam's Club in Rochester in 2011.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife, Beverly, their four children, Tami (Brian), Chad, Jason (Kimberly), and Chris (Michele), six grandchildren and 5 adult siblings.
A celebration of life will be held from 3-6pm on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the Ranfranz and Vine Remembrance and Reception Centre, 5482 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN. Burial will be at 9:45am on Monday, July 14, 2025, at MN Veterans Cemetery, 715 US 52, Preston, MN.
