Rebecca "Becky" Vicker

Rebecca "Becky" June Vicker, 96, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a Rochester resident for 70 years.

Becky was born June 9, 1927 in Whitewater Township, Winona County, MN to Ernest and Bessie (Lea) McHugh. After graduating High School in 1945 Becky moved to Rochester and met Gordon Javis Vicker. They married at East St. Olaf Church, Rock Dell, MN, June 30, 1947 and were married 69 years. The couple farmed together near Oronoco for seven years before moving back to Rochester. In 1962 Becky started working for the business office at the Mayo Clinic and retired in 1989 after 27 years. Becky enjoyed fishing, knitting, bingo, and playing cards.

Becky is survived by three daughters, Linda Zacharias of Rochester, MN. Diane (Ron) Ling of Lakewood, CA, and Cheryl (Jon) Clayton of Fort Worth, Texas; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Luncheon Reception will be held 11:00 am to 12:30 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN. Interment will be at East St. Olaf Cemetery following the reception.
