Rita Jean Gostonczik

Rita Jean Gostonczik, age 52, of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin passed away on December 19^th, 2023 surrounded by the love of her family at Mayo Clinic Health System, Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Rita was born on November 5^th, 1971 in Osage, Iowa to Francis (Gus) and Mary (Schuck) Gostonczik.  Rita graduated from Osage, Iowa High School in 1990.  She attended NIACC in Mason City, Iowa and graduated from Winona State University in 1994 with a degree in healthcare.  Rita was an excellent four sport athlete in high school and competed in softball at Winona State University.  Rita was a dog lover and had many furry friends over the years with most recent, Jack and Tyson.  Rita was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, rarely missed a game, and enjoyed many weekends watching her favorite team.

Rita is survived by her parents, two brothers, Mike (Michelle) of Plainview, Minnesota and Paul (Sarah) of Marion, Iowa; two nieces, Meg (Drew) Proksa of Sun Valley, Idaho and Emma Gostonczik of Coralville, Iowa; two nephews, Jacob and Ryan Gostonczik of Plainview, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Mark in infancy and her grandparents.

A funeral mass will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, December 23^rd, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Osage, Iowa.  Visitation will be held from 4p.m. – 7p.m. on Friday, December 22^nd, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday.  Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
